Welcome! My name is Emily Faye. The pronouns I use for myself are she, her and hers. I am an unfolding human being, musician, ceremonialist, mother, witch, yoga instructor, lover and student of natural world of which we are all a part of. I am a truth seeker. A rememberer, and from a very young age, I have used sound (predominately my voice), movement and musical instruments to connect with my Self, Spirit and other beings more deeply. I am a full time parent to a fabulous two year old, I offer online and in person yoga classes, workshops and ceremony. I has released two full length albums under my band name, Syran and I love to collaborate with other artists. More recently I have been cultivating a music project with my dear partner and co-parent entitled, When Gods Fall. I am interested in vibrations and embodiment as a path to regenerative living and the intersection of music, parenting, yoga and the work of social justice. I have a deep love of Spirit, Nature and all beings. I see the world and you as my teachers and this inspiration feeds into my Yoga practice, self inquiry and offerings. I began guiding Yoga classes in early 2010. I am fascinated with the human body and unique beauty and experience of each individual that decides to practice with me. I guide with a sense of playful curiosity, through a trauma informed lens and with an intention of supporting you through your personal embodiment journey; however that may unfold. The majority of yoga practices I offer are geared toward supporting people experiencing stress, anxiety and/or want to deepen their connection with their body and are looking for support as they traverse their inner landscape. In my yoga classes, I love to weave together my love of nature, sound and the wide variety of movement modalities I have studied and found potent through my own practice. I have a deep honor and reverence for the ancient roots and spiritual lineage of Yoga from South Asia. I believe the practice of Yoga - which reminds us of our interconnectedness with all things - is inherently a practice of Social Justice. My hope and intention is that, after we practice Yoga on the mat together, play music together or gather in whatever way unfolds, you feel a deeper sense of connection, love and appreciation for/with all the beautiful and different layers of your being; and the nourishment of this connection with your Self can extend into your life, relationships, community and way of BEing in the world. I hope to connect with you soon and may our time together benefit all beings everywhere. OM
